BIO
Sara Grace Cofield was born on a military installation in Okinawa, Japan. She grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is currently living in Urbana, Illinois working full-time as her husband obtains his masters degree in Social Work.
She works predominately in the medium of photography but also focuses in on the relationship between these images and three dimensional forms. She is a published author of a short narrative and has also been in group exhibitions at 503W with her most recent show was a collaborative installation at the Heller Center for Arts & Humanities with artists JD Sell and Su Hyun Kaiden Cho. After graduating she has been working for private clients doing work ranging from vintage photo restoration, portraiture & professional photography, darkroom assistance, design & promotional media creation, installation assistance, and documentation of artists exhibitions.
She graduated from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with Departmental Distinction in the fall of 2015 with a Bachelors in Visual & Performing Arts, magna cum laude, and plans to further her education with a Masters of Fine Arts. Sara Grace was awarded a public sculpture grant in 2014 which was permanently installed at the University Village Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the summer of 2015.
